| Welcome to my Astronomy web site. My main interests are observing and astrophotography. Since CCD cameras are expensive, I have been using my Nikon Coolpix digital camera, a web cam, and Meade Deep Space Imager. Someday I will buy a more expensive camera for deep space imaging, but for now, there is plenty to do with a web cam - especially considering all the neat planetary stuff that's happening; such as oppositions of most of the planets. Below is a sampling of the kinds of photos that you can get with inexpensive cameras. |
